The meeting went great. People from the YMCA showed up and had some great information. The YMCA has filed for a continuance on the rezoning of the land. This means they are asking for at least 3 weeks to provide alternatives to the zoning committe, before a final decision is made.
The continuance sounds like it will be approved (more like not contested by the developers). We are still going to show up at the rezoning meeting in case we need to speak to the committee because the developers decided to contest. We have a good number of people showing up for support if that does happen.
Once we are finished w/ the rezoning meeting tomorrow we will initiate the gameplan to come up with all the information necessary to present alternative choices to the zoning committee by the continuance deadline.
